Denmark to hand over 30 Leopard 1 and 15 T-72 tanks to Ukraine: details
Denmark plans to transfer 45 more tanks to Ukraine: 30 Leopard 1 and 15 T-72. Armored vehicles for the Armed Forces of Ukraine are purchased by Copenhagen in cooperation with other countries.
This was stated by Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen, according to DR. He clarified that the Finance Committee of the Danish Parliament has not yet approved this document.
According to the official website of the Danish Armed Forces, 10 Leopard 1 tanks are already in Ukraine, and more are on the way. So they will become part of the offensive that our troops are leading.
The news of the new assistance came before a meeting of the Ramstein Contact Group on Ukraine's defense. The meeting takes place at the Ramstein base in Germany and is attended by defense ministers and chiefs of defense agencies from different countries.
This is the 15th time that defense ministers and senior military officials from Ukraine's partner countries have met offline. This time, for the first time, they were joined by Rustem Umerov, the newly appointed Minister of Defense of Ukraine. A few days before the meeting, he coordinated his positions with the head of the Pentagon.
