On the night of Sunday, September 29, an ammunition depot of the Russian Defense Ministry came under attack in the village of Kotluban in the Volgograd region. A number of Iranian ballistic missiles, as well as launchers for them, were stored there.

This was reported by the head of the Center for Countering Disinformation at the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Andriy Kovalenko. According to him, the targeted warehouse belongs to the Main Missile and Artillery Directorate (GRAU) of the Russian Defense Ministry.

"Kotluban, Volgograd region. GRAU's ammunition depot was hit," Kovalenko wrote on his Telegram channel.

He added that this warehouse was used to store some of Iranian-made ballistic missiles and launchers for them.

As reported, at night, a number of Russian regions suffered a drone attack, with fires breaking out in four of them. Explosions were heard near military camps and other military and energy facilities in Krasnodar Krai, Belgorod, Bryansk, Kursk, Rostov, Voronezh, and Volgograd regions.

In particular, the media reported a hit to a large ammunition depot in the village of Kotluban in Volgograd region too, although local authorities claimed that the UAVs were "shot down" and there were no damage to military facilities.

In early September, it was reported that Russia received the first batch of Fath-360 short-range ballistic missiles from Iran. Previously, it was a shipment of more than 200 missiles.

According to Reuters, the entire shipment turned out to be incomplete as it lacked missile launchers.
