Young Ukrainian woman died during luge training in Ternopil
Diana Novosad, a student of the Zholobiv gymnasium (Ternopil region, Kremenets district), died during a training session in the village of Mlynivtsi on the territory of the Kremenets regional children's sports school for luge, the press service of the Ternopil police reports. While going down the toboggan run, a fragment of a wooden board broke off, injuring the 15-year-old athlete. The injuries were incompatible with life.
This incident was registered in the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations under Part 2 of Article 275 (Violation of rules concerning the safe use of industrial products or the safe operation of buildings and structures that caused the death of people) of the Criminal Code. The investigation is ongoing.

"The regional police have opened a criminal investigation. We do not have access to the case yet, so we have no comment for now," Suspilne quoted Anatoliy Malyshchyk, president of the Luge Federation of Ukraine, as saying.
