Ukrainian heavyweight Andriy Novytskyi (4-0, 3 KOs) scored a great victory at a boxing night in New Hampshire, USA. The 28-year-old native of Mykolaiv defeated 46-year-old Argentine Mariano Jose Riva (14-11, 8 KOs) by knockout.
The fight turned out to be fast-paced. After the opening bell, the fighters danced in the ring for ten seconds, and then Novytskyi managed to land a well-aimed punch to the head. The Argentine boxer fell down, flatly refusing to get up and continue the fight, despite all the referee's persuasion.
Later, the organisers even had to call a doctor, who had difficulty putting the loser on a chair.
It will be recalled that Novytskyi made his professional debut in February this year, defeating Brazilian junior junior Gabriel Aguilar Costa (1-4, 0 KOs).
