The head coach of the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team, Savo Milosevic, was not happy with the result of the draw for the Euro 2024 qualifying matches, which will see his team play with Ukraine. The former Zaragoza, Parma, and Aston Villa striker noted that the Blue and Yellows could have won the championship directly.
Milosevic said this in a comment to the official website of the Football Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FFBiH). The Balkan coach emphasized that the Ukrainians lead the top participants in the playoffs of the championship qualifiers, and his wards will play on the side of their native stands.
"Actually, it's a disadvantage that we got Ukraine in the semifinals. This is one of the strongest teams among the 12 participants in the playoffs. Of course, it will be a very tough match. They could have easily qualified through the group. On the other hand, it is positive that we are playing at home, which is an advantage in such a game. We can be moderately satisfied, we have two games at home, if we want to go to the Euros, it is very important. It will not be easy," Milosevic said.
As a reminder, the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team failed the Euro 2024 qualifying tournament, taking the penultimate place in the group with Portugal, Iceland, Slovakia, Luxembourg and Liechtenstein.
As OBOZ.UA previously reported, UEFA has banned Ukrainian fans from holding a rally to remind them of Russian aggression at the match with Italy.
