German soccer champion (2004) Brazilian striker Ailton made a triumphant return to big sport. The 49-year-old forward, who once played for Metallurg Donetsk and scored for Schalke in the UEFA Cup, scored a life-saving goal in one of Germany's amateur leagues.
The player, who at 178 cm tall weighs 100 kg, played a full match for Bassem III. In a match against principal rival Twistringen in a crowded arena, he evened the score (2-2) with an accurate shot, after which he celebrated in the style of Cristiano Ronaldo.
It should be noted that Ailton is best known for his performances for Werder Bremen, with which he became the top scorer in the Bundesliga in 2004 and the first foreigner to be awarded the title of the best player of the year in Germany.
