Lokomotiv Moscow midfielder Konstantin Maradishvili has been granted Georgian citizenship, Georgian Footy reports citing the Georgian Football Federation vice-president. The 23-year-old Moscow native with Georgian roots played for the Russian youth national team.

Now FIFA must give Maradishvili permission to play for the Georgian national team.

Konstantin Maradishvili is a pupil of the capital club CSKA. In 2019, the footballer signed a professional contract with the club and in July of that year debuted in the basis of "Army men". In 2021, the midfielder moved to Lokomotiv Moscow, signing a 5-year contract.
