One of the founders of the horting in Kyiv region was killed in battle with Russian occupants

Oleg Popovichuk, who was one of the founders of the development of horting in the Kyiv region, died in combat for Ukraine. The soldier, who had fought against the Russian occupiers, was 41 years old.
Oleg Nikolayevich headed the Kyiv regional federation of horting until 2016. Thanks to him, a considerable pleiad of athletes grew up.
"From all members of the Federation, we express our sincere condolences to Oleg's family and loved ones! He remains forever in our hearts and memories," the obituary on the organization's Facebook page reads.
For reference: horting is a modern Ukrainian martial art created in our country, with a universal set of punches and holds, as close as possible to the mixed martial arts MMA.
There is a short video from the 2015 tournament where Oleg Popovichuk works as a head referee for the fight.
