The 2016 Olympic Games champion and member of the Brazilian national football team, Luan Vieira, was attacked by fans in Brazil. The 30-year-old Corinthians midfielder was beaten near a motel in São Paulo.
The footballer decided to throw a party, but in the midst of the celebration, several fans from the Gavioes da Fiel group, who were dissatisfied with the team's results, broke in. The hooligans forced him out of his room and beat him up. They demanded that Vieira immediately terminate his contract with Corinthians, calling him a coward.
The athlete himself posted a photo on the social network with bloodstains on his clothes, captioning it: "It's not just about football."
Corinthians promised the victim all possible support on its social media, condemning the attack.
