Leader of Vinnytsia ultras, who defended Ukraine from the first days of the war, died at the front near Bakhmut
On April 21, a junior lieutenant of the 3rd separate assault brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Denys 'Train' Babiy, was killed during a combat mission in the Bakhmut sector. Before the war, Denys was an active member of the fan movement of the Vinnytsia Nyva ultras.
From the first days of Russia's full-scale invasion, Denys stood up for Ukraine. In the ranks of the Azov-Kyiv Territorial Defence Forces, he formed the 3rd Company, which led the defence of the capital, participated in the de-blockade of Mariupol and successfully counterattacked the enemy in Zaporizhzhia and Donbas.

Babiy was one of the leaders of the Vinnytsia-based NGO Centuria, a member of the Azov Movement.
