A young boxing champion misses a punch to the head and dies in Russia
A 14-year-old boxer named Timofey died during a fight in Pervouralsk (Sverdlovsk region) at an open boxing championship dedicated to the Day of Heroes of the Fatherland, in which 84 athletes from nearby settlements participated. The competition was held at the boxing section of the Center for Children and Youth Development (CCYD).

Last year, the teenager became the champion of the Sverdlovsk region championship. During the final match among boys born in 2008-2009, the young boxer missed a punch to the head and felt sick. Even before the match was stopped, the opponent was hit several times. Timofey went to the corner of the ring, fell down and could not get up.
The fight ended early
According to eyewitnesses, the ambulance could not enter immediately as the barrier near the Pervouralsk hotel would not open and it had to be raised manually. The deceased had all the medical certificates for the competition, so the cause of death is still being investigate by the police.
