"Humiliating and shameful": Russian Olympic champion calls Ukrainians outcasts and accuses them of denunciation

Mamiashvili spoke out about Ukrainians

The President of the Russian Wrestling Federation, Mikhail Mamiashvili, has issued a selective portion of lies about Ukrainian athletes. The winner of the 1988 Olympic Games in Seoul called the representatives of our country outcasts and accused them of denouncing athletes from the Russian Federation.

Mamiashvili said this in an interview with the propaganda news agency RIA Novosti. The accomplice of Vladimir Putin's dictatorial regime added that Ukrainian athletes are under political pressure, forgetting that all Russian federations are completely dependent on the Kremlin.

"Our brothers, the Ukrainian wrestlers, they are unhappy people, I feel sorry for them. I am sorry to see them. Unfortunately, they are under pressure from their political leadership, they are outcasts. They don't communicate, they don't participate in any meetings, in any event that takes place, unfortunately. They go with their heads down, and there is constant snitching and informing. It's so humiliating and so shameful. But, perhaps, sometimes you have to go through this as well," Mamiashvili said.

Before that, he was outraged by the conditions of admission of athletes from the Russian Federation to the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, according to which representatives of the Russian Federation need to "betray the country and the president."

As OBOZ.UA previously reported, Russian Wrestling Federation Vice President Arsen Fadzaev complained about the lack of admission to the Olympic Games of their two-time winner Abdulrashid Sadulayev.
