French soccer player from Moscow club fled to his home country, refusing to return to Russia
Lokomotiv's French striker Wilson Isidor refused to return to Russia. The 23-year-old footballer flew home on his own closer to the end of the transfer window (September 1), where he underwent a medical examination at one of the clubs.
The Moscow team said that Isidor did it without agreement with their management and that the player continues to have a contract valid until June 30, 2026.
"The footballer expressed his desire to stay in Europe through his agent. He won't return to Russia or the club. Lokomotiv reserves the right to follow the clauses of the labor contract and decide the relationship between the player and the club in the legal field, of which the footballer has been notified", the press service of the club stated.
The forward has played in six matches in all tournaments this season, scoring two goals and giving one goal assists.
As reported by OBOZREVATEL, Brazilian Lokomotiv Moscow footballer Pedro Gabriel became an unintentional participant in the scandal because of his nickname Pedrinho.
