Famed Ukrainian fencer Olha Kharlan could not ignore the tragedy in Chernihiv. The Olympic champion reacted emotionally to the shelling by the Russian occupants.
"Chernihiv. Bastards," Kharlan wrote on her Instagram, adding an emoji with a broken heart.
Russian terrorists struck the centre of Chernihiv with an Iskander-M ballistic missile on Saturday, August 19, around 11:30 a.m.
The shelling killed 7 people (including a 6-year-old girl) and wounded 37 (including 11 minors).
As noted by the Ukrainian Interior Ministry, the Russian missile strike resulted in the destruction of the roof of the Drama Theater with subsequent fire.
