The duel ended in tragedy

Filipino boxer Kenneth Egano (7-1, 3 KOs) died from injuries sustained in a fight at Manny Pacquiao's "Punch by Punch" boxing tournament. The 22-year-old inflicted his first defeat on Jason Facularin (4-1, 4 KOs) in an eight-round bout in Cavite, Philippines, but did not get to hear his name called as the winner.

Egano lost consciousness before the ring announcer confirmed his victory on points. The boxer was rushed to the hospital, where he later slipped into a coma due to a brain hemorrhage.

It is reported that Pacquiao agreed to cover all medical expenses, but doctors could not save the athlete. Four days later it was announced that 22-year-old Kenneth died.
