According to media reports, the shooting occurred due to a domestic dispute, which could have involved the boyfriend of his child's mother.
Teah became famous for his signature victories over the current world welterweight champion O'Shaquie Foster (21-2, 12 KOs) and the current WBA welterweight number two Kenneth Sims Jr (20-2-1, 7 KOs).
His manager, Sara Fina, confirmed her client's death.
"Sam, tell me it's not true! You were one of my few true friends. We fought, but I knew our relationship was real. You were my pain. But the kind of pain you feel after a long workout the next day. The pain of growth. What will we do now without you?" Fina wrote.
