Duda was greeted in Lutsk with applause and shouts of "Thank you!" Video

Ukrainians expressed their support for Duda

The sudden visit of Polish President Andrzej Duda to Lutsk thrilled local residents. They gathered in the square near the Church of St. Peter and Paul to welcome and thank the friendly neighbor for his help in difficult times.

Footage from the scene was published by eyewitnesses on local Telegram channels. Despite heavy security, the scene was cheerful, friendly, and serene (scroll to the bottom of the page to see the video).

"Thank you, Andrzej!" the residents of the regional center chanted as they waited for both Duda himself and the accompanying leader of the nation, Volodymyr Zelensky.

Participants in the rally noted that they could not help but come to the temple on Sunday afternoon to express their admiration and gratitude to the head of the neighboring state. Duda has repeatedly demonstrated his openness to Ukrainians and his willingness to help until victory comes, and so do ordinary Poles.

It should be recalled that the visit of Zelensky and Duda to the regional center of the Volyn region was not announced in advance. In the morning of July 9, it became known that the presidents met in the historical part of Lutsk. A prayer service was served in the church of Peter and Paul to mark the 80th anniversary of the so-called Volyn massacre.

Earlier OBOZREVATEL reported that since the beginning of a full-scale war, which led to a wave of millions of Ukrainian refugees, European countries have spent more than 43 billion euros to help them. The biggest effort was made by Poland, whose contribution amounted to 12 billion euros.
