Now the animal is doing well
The most popular dog in Ukraine, Patron, who works as a sapper for the State Emergency Service, came under rocket fire in Kharkiv region. It happened a month ago.
So far, the animal is fine and safe. A message about this appeared on Patron's Instagram page on 2 July 2023.
"We worked very effectively again in the Kharkiv region near Balakliya. You know that this city is still under rocket attacks. It was the same when we were there. I heard a whistle and a buzz, but I thought it was my guys who were going to detonate explosives. But for some reason, Mykhailo quickly moved me to a shelter and covered me with his body. Then I realised it was an enemy missile. It was very close. Unfortunately, one person was killed and 9 others were wounded. I was in a shelter, my husband saved me," the statement reads.
It should be noted that later the page clarified that the shelling took place a month ago.
"I am fine now. I'm in a village near Chernihiv," Patron added.
Earlier, Patron was hospitalised. The animal had to be hospitalised for a routine examination and tests, as its activities involving hazardous gases and substances can seriously harm health.
