Jewish pilgrims who intend to visit Uman this year during Rosh Hashanah should take into account the warning of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry that the security situation poses a serious threat.

This was stated by the Ambassador of Ukraine to the State of Israel Yevhen Korniychuk.

"I want to repeat and emphasize for those who plan to travel to Uman this year that there is a high risk of possible Russian attacks on civilian infrastructure and places of worship, as it has happened many times before," he said.

The ambassador added: "Please heed the recommendations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and do not become another innocent victim of the brutal Russian regime, which does not hesitate to target innocent civilians."

As reported, last year, despite martial law due to Russian aggression, about 23,000 Hasidic pilgrims visited the grave of Tzadik Nachman in Uman in early September.
