Zelensky urged the Organization of American States to join the peace summit: We need a collective effort
President Volodymyr Zelensky has called on the countries of the Organization of American States to participate in the preparation of the Global Peace Summit. It is about the implementation of the peace initiative proposed by Ukraine to restore security to Ukrainians and Europeans against the backdrop of Russia's unbridled war.

It should be noted that 35 countries are members of the Organization of American States. The countries of the European Union, as well as another 51 states, including Ukraine, belong to the institution of permanent observers of the Organization.
Zelensky reminded that last year he presented the Ukrainian Formula of Peace, during this time dozens of nations were involved in the implementation of this initiative. Today Kyiv also prepares the Global Peace Summit, which will already specifically determine which state will help with which item of the Formula.
According to him, there is no alternative to it. Russia has brought war to Ukraine, Russian missiles and artillery are burning Ukrainian towns and villages, Russian ecocides are destroying the country's nature. But despite all the Russian terrorist attacks, Ukrainians still push the aggressor to defeat, both by force of arms and by force of diplomacy.

"Ukrainians are the ones who understand better what needs to be done to bring peace back. But in order to bring peace back, we need a collective effort. And of course your support, your leadership in particular," the president said.
So he invited partners to work with Ukrainians and all the free nations of the world to implement the Formula. Asked to participate in the preparation of the Global Peace Summit, because we need to become a global community in the full sense of the word, so that peace for every nation is guaranteed in full force.
"Singles cannot defend peace, and war cannot overcome the collective desire for peace. May your strength also become a force for peace!" - Zelensky concluded.
