Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs David Lammy has arrived in Ukraine. It is planned to discuss further cooperation between the countries and joint projects.
The former Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and current Ambassador to the UK Valerii Zaluzhnyi announced this on Telegram. He welcomed the British politician to Ukrainian land, greeting him at the train station.
"We will talk about further cooperation and joint projects to strengthen Ukraine's security," Zaluzhnyi said.
He expressed gratitude to the UK for always being with Ukraine in such difficult times.
As a reminder, Foreign Secretary David Lammy and UK Defense Secretary John Healey visited Ukraine in May 2024. They had a conversation with the head of the President's Office, Andrii Yermak. At that time, Healey was the shadow Secretary of State for Defence, and Lammy was the shadow Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs.
In addition, in September 2024, Lammy arrived in Kyiv together with the then-US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with the distinguished guests.
As reported by OBOZ.UA, US Secretary of State David Lammy spoke about new deadlines for resolving the war in Ukraine. According to him, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin does not want to negotiate now, so the deadline for resolving the war is being shifted to mid-spring.
