"No exchanges of territories": Zelensky named the condition of negotiations with Russia

Ukraine will not hold negotiations that imply the exchange of our territory. The only document on the basis of which peace negotiations can take place is the Ukrainian peace formula.

This was stated by the head of the Ukrainian state Volodymyr Zelensky at a joint press conference with the Prime Minister of the Netherlands Mark Rutte at the airbase in Eindhoven. Zelensky ruled out the possibility of "exchanging anything" for Ukrainian territories.

"We have one document, we have a peace formula, we have one wish - peace. We have formulated how we see it, we are ready for an open discussion with colleagues. The more the better for peace, so that peace is on the same side. On the side of a just peace with full restoration of the territorial integrity of Ukraine," the country's leader said.

At the same time, Zelensky noted the need to restore justice. Russia should be held accountable for its crimes, in particular, the Boeing crash of flight MH-17, the atrocities in Bucha, the destruction of Mariupol and so on.

As OBOZREVATEL wrote, U.S. State Department spokesman Matthew Miller earlier said that Ukraine should make its own decisions regarding any negotiations with Russia. Kiev has repeatedly said that it is open to a dialog that will respect the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the state, but Moscow is not yet set up for this.
