Zelenskyy held negotiations with the Prime Minister of Norway

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a phone conversation with Prime Minister of Norway Jonas Gahr Støre. The purpose of the talks was to discuss the supply of weapons to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

This was reported by the press service of the Office of the President of Ukraine. Volodymyr Zelenskyy invited Jonas Gahr Støre to pay a visit to Ukraine.

The President of Ukraine expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister of Norway for his continued political, economic and defence support for Ukraine. He particularly noted Norway's contribution to the implementation of specific initiatives and projects that contribute to the development of the country.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy briefed Jonas Gahr Støre on his recent visit to the frontline positions of Ukrainian troops in Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia, spoke about the current situation on the battlefield and the daily steps to de-occupy Ukrainian territory.

The President conveyed information on some defence needs of the Ukrainian army, in particular, artillery weapons.

The parties coordinated their positions on the eve of the NATO Summit in Vilnius. Volodymyr Zelenskyy invited to pay a visit to Ukraine.

As OBOZREVATEL previously reported, the Norwegian government supported the decision to allocate 250 million kroner (over $23 million) to support nuclear safety in Ukraine. They noted that the war launched by Russia in violation of international law has put nuclear safety in the country at risk.
