US President Joe Biden intends to hold talks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on the margins of the NATO summit in Vilnius. In addition, the White House leader will meet with Turkish President Recep Erdogan.

This was reported on his Twitter account by the journalist of the publication Politico Jonathan Lemaire. The event will take place on July 11 and 12 in Lithuania.

"Among President Biden's scheduled meetings on the sidelines of the NATO summit in Vilnius over the next two days: Turkish President Erdogan, Ukrainian President Zelensky," the journalist wrote.

On the evening of July 10, Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausėda said on Twitter that Biden had already arrived in Vilnius; the head of the country met him at the airport.

"I am delighted to welcome the US President to Vilnius airport on my first visit to Lithuania. We are grateful for the US military presence in Lithuania, which provides deterrence and forward defense. Lithuania is a strong supporter of the transatlantic connection," Nausėda wrote.

Earlier, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg confirmed the participation of Vladimir Zelenski in the summit of the Alliance in Vilnius.

Bloomberg reported that Zelenski would arrive in the Lithuanian capital to meet with NATO leaders at a summit of the military alliance on Wednesday, July 12.

On July 7, U.S. presidential national security adviser Jake Sullivan said that U.S. President Joe Biden would expect to meet Ukrainian head of state Volodymyr Zelensky in person at the NATO summit in Vilnius.

As you know, Zelensky arrived in Turkey on July 7 and held talks with Erdogan. The Turkish leader said that our country deserved to be a NATO member and promised Kyiv further support. He also announced the visit of Russian dictator Putin to Turkey next month.

As reported by OBOZREVATEL, on the eve of the NATO summit in Vilnius Stoltenberg supported the cancellation of the action plan for Ukraine's accession to NATO. The country's accession to the Alliance will take place without this step.
