Zelensky addressed the parliament of Denmark

The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky once again stressed to the world that all of Russia's neighbors are under threat if Ukraine does not stand in the war with this aggressor country. At the same time, he expressed his conviction that Ukrainians will succeed, and he strives for partners to "hear, see and feel" it.

He said this during an address to the Danish Parliament on August 21. The speech was broadcast live on YouTube (to view the video, scroll to the end of the news).

This Monday, the Ukrainian leader, along with First Lady Olena Zelenska, arrived at the Folketing (the unicameral parliament of the Kingdom of Denmark. - Ed.) and began his speech to the audience. He was greeted with loud applause.

"Now the Russian evil strikes with pain and deaths in Ukrainian cities and villages. But openly says that it will not limit itself to Ukraine. Then, after our country, they want to take this suffering further into Europe, and further into the world. And I'm sure you're hearing this from Moscow. All of Russia's neighbors are under threat if Ukraine does not stand," Zelensky said.

He thanked Denmark for its solidarity and assistance in resisting Russian aggression. In particular, for modern armored vehicles, which are already helping Ukrainian soldiers at the front.

"Thank you for the Harpoons - the Russians are afraid of them. Thank you for Caesars, Leopards, Bradleys, drones (yes, they are, afraid of drones), artillery, mine clearance vehicles. All of this serves freedom right now to protect people's lives," the president said.

Separately, he thanked for the F-16 fighter jets promised by Denmark and the Netherlands, noting that Ukraine had gone from Javelins and Stingers to them.

"Thank you, Denmark, for the F-16. There was a time when they said that this would not happen. When they said that it was not worth fighting. When they did not believe in us, in you, in people. When they said that it was easier to freeze your desire to live But humanity turned into solidarity, solidarity turned into leadership, in particular yours," Zelensky stressed.

Summing up, he noted that when Russian dictator Putin ordered a full-scale invasion of Ukraine, he believed only in the length of his armored columns, the power of Russian missile explosions, and that brutality supposedly could rewrite the history of an entire continent.

"We believe in a completely different thing. And therefore we become stronger - all of us, together with you. We believe in ordinary human solidarity. And it actually allows you to destroy any column of any equipment of any invaders. After all, when people are on your side, and when for your humanity is a value, and when your values are the same as those of other nations, you will definitely find all the necessary weapons to defend yourself.Dear people of Denmark! Ukraine believed you when this evil invasion began. And I am grateful to you for believing in us," Zelensky added.

As reported OBOZREVATEL, on August 20, after a productive visit to the Netherlands, the President of Ukraine arrived in Denmark to continue work on F-16 fighter jets for the Defense Forces. Copenhagen agreed to transfer 19 aircraft to the Air Force of the AFU.

It is known that Ukraine will receive another 42 F-16 aircraft from Amsterdam. The transfer will take place after the training of our pilots and engineers. Volodymyr Zelensky thanked the Prime Ministers of Denmark and the Netherlands for such a strong support in the issue of strengthening the air shield of our state
