Ukrainian world junior biathlon champion (2015) Anna Kryvonos will not be able to compete at the World Cup in Lenzerheid, Switzerland, reports "Supilne Sport". According to Mykola Zots, the head coach of the Ukrainian women's national team, the 26-year-old native of Sumy region will be excluded from the squad for the 3rd stage due to illness.
Yulia Dzhyma, Iryna Petrenko, Anastasia Merkushyna and Kristina Dmytrenko remain in the main team of Ukraine.
As OBOZREVATEL previously reported, in 2015, Kryvonos became the subject of a shocking story. It turned out that Anya and her mother lived in a house that could hardly be called residential.
In addition to winning the individual event, Kryvonos also won a bronze medal at the World Youth Biathlon Championships. The 18-year-old finished third in the sprint race.
The World Cup in Lenzerheide will include three disciplines: sprint, pursuit and mass start. The TV channels that will broadcast the competition are already known.
