James Brien, founder of Easy Online Divorce and divorce expert, spoke about this. According to him, all partners should discuss and agree on their approach to money before going down the aisle, Express writes.
"I would say almost half of couples who divorce do so over money, whether it’s different ideas or attitudes about finances, or pressures due to the cost of living," he explained.
The expert noted that at the beginning of a relationship, discussing this issue can be uncomfortable, and you may feel that it is not romantic at all. But if you ignore this aspect, there is a possibility that it could become a big problem in the future.
Disagreements over money in the early stages, for example, when one person makes extravagant purchases and the other prefers to save for a rainy day, may first appear small.
But over time, the problem will become bigger and bigger, especially if the country is in an economic crisis. That's when things like overspending, debts, and secrets get in the way of happy family life.
