What indicators on the dashboard of a car indicate a serious danger: it is better not to go anywhere
Warning lights on a car's dashboard should be taken seriously because they are the vehicle's way of telling drivers that something is wrong.
Any red warning lights usually indicate that there is a "serious, potentially dangerous problem" with the vehicle. Among the most common is the red battery logo, OBOZ.UA writes.
This usually indicates that the alternator is not charging the battery properly, so a new spare part is probably needed.
A red circle and two brackets with an exclamation point in the middle is a brake warning light, and one of the most serious. Since brakes are one of the most important safety features, road users should not drive if this light is on.
If this light comes on, it indicates that there is a problem with your brake system, which could be due to low brake fluid (if the light stays red after you release the parking brake) or even worn brake pads (if your brake pads squeak or pulsate).
Other red icons that can be displayed at any stage include the airbag warning light, power steering warning light, and engine temperature warning light.
These appear when the engine is overheating and may simply mean that the coolant level needs to be topped up.
The red oil warning light is also a cause for concern, as it means that the oil pressure is too high or too low.
