Volkswagen reveals affordable electric car to replace Polo with 450 km range

The new Volkswagen ID.GTI is a compact affordable electric car. The company is preparing a new product to replace the VW Polo, which will receive a successor in a few years. The electric car was shown in a photo and details were provided.

The car was described on the company's official website. The new VW ID.GTI is a sporty variant of the electric Volkswagen ID2.all, which will replace the Polo.

It is a small car with a length of about 4 m, a wheelbase of 2600 mm, a width of about 1.8 m, and a height of 1.5 m. The body was painted in bright red and the styling was complemented by dark elements.

A small spoiler was installed on the roof, and the spectacular retro-style wheels have a diameter of 20 inches. The air intakes in the front bumper, raised sills and rear diffuser add to the aggressiveness.

The estimated power of the electric power plant is 250-300 hp. The range after a full charge is about 450 km.

The new Volkswagen ID.GTI is expected to be launched in 2026 or 2027. The price is in the range of 25,000 – 30,000 euros.
