Volkswagen is preparing new low-cost cars: what is known about them
Volkswagen ID.3 and ID.4 electric cars are being prepared for modernization as practical and affordable EVs. New information about these cars has emerged.
According to Carscoops, the German automaker is preparing a redesign of the VW ID.3 and ID.4 models. It is expected that the appearance of the electric cars will be more unambiguous and stylish, with the usual elements for the brand. However, the design will not be limited to a change of design – the electric cars will undergo a more extensive modernization.
Changes to the interiors have been announced. The cars will receive modified multimedia systems (there have been problems with these systems) and an increased number of physical switches and real buttons. Almost no one liked the touchscreen monitors without alternatives.

The new Volkswagen ID.3 and ID.4 are expected to be available by 2026. However, in the future, Volkswagen plans even more ambitious developments in the EV segment. Rivian will help create the new 9th generation Volkswagen Golf, which will be an electric car.
A new Scalable Systems Platform (SSP) is being prepared for the car. The development will take place as part of a $5.8 billion joint venture between Volkswagen and Rivian.
