Ukrainians will be paid UAH 1000 at Ukrposhta: when it will be possible to get the money
The state will pay UAH 1000 to pensioners, people with disabilities, and those receiving social assistance as part of the "Winter ePidtrymka" program. The money will be available at the Ukrposhta offices.
As explained by the company, the funds will be paid from December 2024 to February 2025, including in the frontline areas. The support will be available at the beginning of the month along with pensions and social benefits.
Ukrposhta noted that two million pensioners and people with disabilities of groups I and II will be able to receive the assistance. The money will be available through postmen, as well as stationary and mobile post offices.
The list of citizens who will receive assistance through Ukrposhta will be compiled by the Ministry of Social Policy. They will not be able to apply through the Diia app – the company will explain how to apply later.
The assistance will have to be used by March 2025. The money can be used to pay for
- utilities and mobile communication services;
- purchase of food, household chemicals, medicines, and other Ukrainian-made goods at Ukrposhta branches;
- subscriptions to periodicals (newspapers and magazines) and postal products.
"Thanks to our extensive network, we will ensure the delivery of state aid to millions of Ukrainians - pensioners, recipients of social assistance, subsidies, and others – especially in the most remote villages and on the front line. That is, where it is most difficult to use digital means or where there are no banking institutions and terminals. Those who need this support the most live there, and we will help them use this assistance and deliver medicines, food, goods, and help pay utility bills," said Ihor Smilianskyi, CEO of Ukrposhta.
As OBOZ.UA reported earlier, even fraudsters took advantage of the decision of the Ukrainian authorities to pay UAH 1000 of financial support to citizens. They started spreading fake messages on the Internet to gain access to Ukrainian bank accounts.
