Ukrainians are saving, while imports from the US have increased: which used cars topped sales
Imports of used cars from the United States to Ukraine have increased significantly. Buyers are trying to save money, so they traditionally pay attention to inexpensive cars. American second-hand cars are very much in demand.
Such cars are very popular again, as demand has increased. According to Ukravtoprom, since the beginning of 2024, Ukrainians have registered almost 33.5 thousand used cars from the United States.
This is 79% more than in 2023. Out of the total, 45% are equipped with gasoline engines (without electric motors, i.e. hybrids separately – 7%). Only 6% of diesel cars were imported. And the number of electric cars is 35%. Experts named the most popular American used cars.
Tesla Model 3 topped the ranking of American imports.

The most popular used cars from the USA in Ukraine:
- Tesla Model 3 – 3613 pcs;
- Tesla Model Y – 3035 units;
- Ford Escape – 2236 units;
- Jeep Cherokee – 2014 pcs;
- Volkswagen Passat – 1921 units.
Tesla is traditionally responsible for the popularity of American electric vehicles. Its models have again become in demand both in their segment and in the absolute statistics of American imports.
