Romanian activists have unblocked the Porubne checkpoint with Ukraine. It is now fully operational and there is an electronic queue for trucks .

This was reported by the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine. "Truck traffic at the Porubne checkpoint is fully unblocked. All categories of vehicles are cleared for entry and exit from Ukraine in accordance with the established procedure. The electronic queue for trucks continues to operate," the ministry said.

Back on January 15, the Romanian Ministry of Agriculture and representatives of large agricultural organizations reached an agreement on 13 farmers' demands. The government pledged to fully subsidize all agricultural excise taxes until 2026, as well as to introduce provisions for subsidized interest loans.

However, the farmers' representative at the talks, Marius Miku, noted that the signed agreement did not mean an immediate end to the protests. Blockades continued at Vicovou de Sousse-Krasnoilsk, Siret-Porubne, and Halmeu-Dyakove chekpoints.

For example, on January 13, carriers and farmers organized a blockade at the Siret-Porubne checkpoint. The next day, they blocked the Vicovou de Sousse-Krasnoilsk checkpoint. On January 18, they also blocked the Halmeu-Dyakove checkpoint in the Zakarpattia region.
