Tyson Fury said what he will do to Usyk in the fight
WBC champion Tyson Fury (34-0-1, 24 KOs) answered the question of whether he intends to exploit the weaknesses of Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk (20-0, 13 KOs) in the fight. The mega-fight for the absolute heavyweight championship will take place on February 17, 2024, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
In August, Usyk knocked out Daniel Dubois to retain his WBA, WBO, and IBF heavyweight titles. However, despite the victory, Usyk missed a body shot in the fifth round and had to sit on the floor for several minutes.
Some fans believed that at this point Dubois should have won the fight, but the referee considered it a low blow.
But when Fury was asked if he intended to capitalize on this supposed weakness of Usyk's, the Gypsy King said that he would not use body shots on February 17.
"I'm looking for an opportunity to hit the head. I'm always looking for a knockout. I'm looking for punches to the face. Only in the face," talkSPORT quoted Fury as saying.
