The new Toyota Land Cruiser 250, which replaces the Prado, showed a new style for the company's SUVs. With cool looks, another model, the Toyota Land Cruiser FJ, is being prepared and it will be cheaper than the RAV4 crossover.
The new Toyota FJ SUV will be the most affordable model in the Land Cruiser lineup. According to BestCarWeb, the Japanese company will unveil the vehicle in late 2024. The small Toyota Land Cruiser is expected to hit the market in 2025.
The car will be the successor to the Toyota FJ Cruiser, which was discontinued about 10 years ago. Earlier it was assumed that the inexpensive SUV will be called Land Hopper (this name was recently patented). But in the end, this name went to an electric scooter.
Insiders report that the new car will get a 2.7 -liter gasoline engine with 163 hp. The price of the Toyota Land Cruiser FJ is around $23,000, but this is still a preliminary figure.
It is obvious that Toyota wants to turn the Land Cruiser lineup into an image sub-brand, as it was done in Land Rover with Range Rover models - everything started with one car, now there are four of them in the lineup.
