It is interesting that the test program was opened for 12 months in the harsh conditions of Australian industrial enterprises. Based on the results of this program, the Japanese company will analyze the data obtained to effectively complete the development of the Hilux electric pickup truck.
Interestingly, Toyota is testing another unexpected variant of the Hilux. The pickup is equipped with fuel cells. The SUV now needs to be refueled with hydrogen. This type of fuel is still very unusual compared to gasoline and diesel, but it is becoming increasingly popular in the most developed countries.
The car received its powerplant from the Toyota Mirai hydrogen electric car. Electricity is generated by a chemical reaction inside the fuel cells. This is what hydrogen is for.
