Towels will be as soft as in a spa: what to add when washing
Although a regular wash cycle can make towels hard and prickly, there is a way to make them soft again.
TikTok user Chantel Mila shared her life hack. In her tutorial video, she revealed the "secret to fresh, fluffy towels."
The first step is to add liquid detergent to the washing machine drawer as usual. However, before you close the drawer and turn on the washing machine, the next key step is to add half a cup of white vinegar to the compartment where you normally put the softener.
Also, when softening towels, skip adding fabric softener entirely as the solution can cause the towel fibers to clump together.
With the detergent and white vinegar in the washing machine drawer, set the wash temperature between 40C and 60C.
After completing the wash cycle, it is recommended to "shake the towels and dry them." Dry the towels in the dryer for a few minutes until they are completely dry. This will help to make them soft.
