Three iPhone models are being discontinued: which ones

The expansion of Apple's smartphone lineup inevitably leads to the discontinuation of some models. Thus, after the presentation of the iPhone 16e, it became known that the company would stop producing three older types of gadgets.

According to t4, the iPhone SE, iPhone 14 Plus, and iPhone 14 will no longer be rolling off Apple's assembly lines. The first two models listed were not in high demand. However, the iPhone 14 discontinuation surprised many experts.

Those who liked this model should not worry that it will disappear. Apple has accumulated sufficient stocks of the new iPhone 14 in its warehouses, so they will continue to be available for sale. At the time of the decision to discontinue production, this smartphone cost $599 – the same as the latest iPhone 16e, introduced this week. Probably, the refusal to release the new iPhone 14 was due to the manufacturer's desire to stimulate demand for the new product. Moreover, its design is based on the 14th generation of the American smartphone.

At the moment, we can say for sure that Apple is gradually phasing out smartphones equipped with a physical home button. In addition, the company has now begun to switch its products to universal USB-C ports from proprietary Lightning. This was a requirement of the European Union, which thus tries to reduce the number of accessories for charging and data transfer and make them more accessible to all electronics users.
