The main character of "Emily in Paris" announced that he may leave the series: what is the reason
Lucas Bravo, the star of the Netflix series Emily in Paris, who embodies the image of the charming chef Gabriel, has expressed serious dissatisfaction with the development of his character. The actor noted that he feels disappointed with how his character has changed over several seasons.
Initially, Gabriel was portrayed as a cheerful, daring and cheerful man who attracted the attention of the main character Emily. However, later his character became more melancholic and depressed. Bravo admitted that it was difficult for him to identify with this development of the plot, the actor told IndieWire.
"I've never been so far away from him," the actor admitted in an interview. He added that he tried to make suggestions for the character's development, but faced restrictions on creative freedom. According to Bravo, on the set, actors have little influence on the script and dialogues, and their task is simply to follow the director's instructions.
This situation led the actor to doubt his desire to continue acting in the series. Bravo's contract expires after the fourth season, and he has not yet made a decision on whether to continue cooperation. "I really want to see if Gabrielle will return to her fun, sassy, playful, lively self," the actor said.
Despite his dissatisfaction with the development of his character, Bravo remains a fan of the series as a whole. He noted that Emily in Paris gave him many opportunities and opened new doors in his career. However, the actor hopes that the creators of the series will listen to the audience's feedback and make the necessary changes to the storylines.
