The government is preparing a key solution to reduce the duration of power outages: what is known
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine plans to significantly reduce the list of consumers who will not be disconnected from electricity in order to distribute energy limits more evenly and reduce the duration of outages for other consumers. This decision will expand the range of consumers covered by the stabilization outage schedules and reduce their duration.
This was stated by Yuriy Boyko, Advisor to the Prime Minister of Ukraine on Energy, in an interview with Kyiv 24. According to him, the relevant decision may be made tomorrow.
Yuriy Boyko noted that the work on optimizing the list of consumers with guaranteed electricity supply is already at the final stage. "We are now at the final stage of optimizing the list of consumers with guaranteed electricity supply. Based on the results of this work, the list should be significantly reduced. This will make it possible to distribute the electricity limit more evenly," he said.
The implementation of the new rules will expand the range of consumers covered by the stabilization outage schedules and at the same time reduce the duration of such outages. "I expect that a decision on this will be made tomorrow," Boyko added.
Earlier, Ruslan Slobodyan, Head of the State Energy Supervision Service, also said that Ukraine plans to update the list of facilities that are not subject to de -energization. According to him, all other consumers should be disconnected from the lines that supply critical infrastructure. This will ensure a stable supply of electricity to critical facilities, including hospitals, water utilities and other important institutions.
As OBOZ.UA reported earlier, the situation with the electricity shortage in Ukraine will worsen in the next few weeks. There will be more blackouts, mostly from 11:00 to 23:00.
