The new generation of the famous Renault Clio is in the final stages of development. The low-cost model of the French company is expected to be released by 2026. The network showed this car in a completely different form with a bright modern design.

Motor1 also showed its version. The assumptions are based on inspiration from the company's current models. Partly by the flagship Rafale crossover. So, large elements of geometric shapes, narrow lighting, and broken lines are needed.

Of course, there is no hope that by 2026 the European car will have only gasoline modifications. The new 6th generation Renault Clio is expected to be offered in hybrid and possibly electric versions.

Renault had previously planned to completely abandon internal combustion engines in the European market by 2030. Electric cars need to be made cheaper through new designs, efficient mass production, and cheap batteries. An expanded range is also being prepared.

The automaker is working to reduce the cost of batteries by 65% by 2028. This is expected to make EVs more affordable.
