The famous budget model Dacia Sandero is the most affordable car of the Romanian brand. This car has proven to be much more successful than its closest rivals in the market. European buyers most often chose this model.

This became known to Motor1. The budget car Dacia Sandero topped the European market in 2024 with 270,111 units sold. The Renault Clio was in second place with 216,569 units, followed by the VW Golf (216,549 units).

Earlier, the manufacturer reported that Dacia's sales in 2024 amounted to 676,340 vehicles. This result is 2.7% higher than in 2023. The Romanian brand has a very strong portfolio today, with new promising models coming soon.

The company is already working on a new 4th generation Dacia Sandero. The low-cost car will still be based on the CMF-B platform and will be equipped with an electric powertrain for the first time. This option will be offered in the lineup in parallel with internal combustion engines.

At the same time, potential buyers should not expect modern fast charging and a large range. As always, the company will focus on affordability.
