The Citroen Ami is the cheapest electric car of the French brand with a price of up to $8,000, depending on the market. Now this model will become more powerful and get an extended range.
L'argus shared information about the upcoming novelty. The Citroen Ami is in the promising segment of compact city electric cars, which more and more manufacturers plan to join. However, the Ami has been in this segment for several years now, and it needs to be modernized to compete.
Currently, the so-called sports modification of the Citroen Ami is at an early stage of development, and no one can say when such an electric car will appear. At the same time, the characteristics are already known.
The power will increase by two and a half times – up to 20 hp from the current 8 hp. And the range will increase to 140 km from 75 km thanks to a new 10 kWh battery pack.
The electric car will become faster. The top speed will increase from the current 45 km/h to 80 km/h. We should expect a changed design. The manufacturer will develop new bumpers, wheel designs, and color schemes.
