Celebrity stylist Yuliko, who designs looks not only for famous artists but also for MPs, gave effective advice on how to choose a foundation color in a store. Some customers are used to applying a little product on their hands, but this is the wrong approach.
On Instagram, the stylist showed herself how to quickly determine the shade of foundation that will perfectly blend with the skin on her face. However, you need to prepare for using this method.
You can choose a foundation color that will cover redness on the face by testing it on this particular area. The stylist advised to do this under the cheekbones, having previously erased the makeup.
"We're going to check our color on this area. We don't try anything on our hands. It's very bad idea," Juliko warned.
The fashion expert applied three different foundations to her face to show how to find the perfect shade. She emphasized that these swatches should be dense enough. There is no need to blend them.
This is the only way to see which color blends in with the skin and which contrasts with it.
Most cosmetics stores allow you to use trial products and have wipes, micellar water, and other products to help you wipe these samples off your face. You can apply them simply with dry and clean fingers.
