Tesla Model 3 electric car has dropped in price by $5,500 at once
Tesla Model 3 electric car in the pre-restyled version has been reduced in price. Some copies, which are available in the warehouses of the automaker, fell in price by 5500 dollars at once.
This is reported by InsideEVs. The price reduction affected all modifications of the Model 3, but only finished copies - those that have already been produced in specific specifications and are waiting for buyers in warehouses. The prices of some cars, including the rebate and a potential tax credit in the U.S., have fallen below $30,000.
The company is probably trying to clear out inventory ahead of the launch of the updated Tesla Model 3, which has already been officially unveiled. The new 2024 model year car is known internally as Project Highland. But it will go on sale with a simple well-known name.
The changes in design are obvious: there are new horizontal headlights of simple shape in the style of the older Model S and a different bumper with a neat air intake at the bottom. At the rear there are new lights in the shape of a crab claw. Previously, many automakers have adopted a similar element.
The new Tesla Model 3 Standard Range RWD (rear-wheel drive) has an increased range of 513 kilometers. The all-wheel drive Long Range AWD offers 629 kilometers. The upgraded fast charging can replenish 282 km of range in 15 minutes.
Tentatively, sales of the Tesla Model 3 2024 model year will begin before the end of 2023.
