Tea stains on a thermos or cups are unpleasant but inevitable. Sooner or later, dark spots appear on the dishes, making them look (and smell!) bad.

How to get rid of tea stains and unpleasant odors on dishes

To remove minor dirt, you can use (9%) table vinegar. Dilute it in a ratio of 1 to 4 with hot water, fill a dirty thermos or cup, close it, and leave it for a couple of hours. Then rinse the dishes with clean water.

Tablets for cleaning dentures

Put 1-2 tablets inside a dish with plaque and pour boiling water over it. Leave it in this state overnight, and rinse it with water in the morning.

Pearl barley and baking soda

For heavily soiled thermoses, cups, or glasses, a mixture of pearl barley and baking soda in the ratio of: ½ the volume of the dish to 3 teaspoons of baking soda.

Pour boiling water over the mixture up to halfway and close. After 30-40 minutes, the dishes can be washed and used.

Lemon (citric acid)

Lemon is an excellent tool for removing plaque and unpleasant odors. To remove dark stains from dishes, add 1-2 tablespoons of citric acid or put a few lemon slices in a thermos, pour boiling water over them, and leave for several hours or overnight. After that, rinse the thermos.
