Taylor Swift even gave up her favorite boots for burgundy boots

As we approach 2025, fashion experts predict that it will be a year of bolder, more sophisticated, and original color schemes in our wardrobes. And singer Taylor Swift and actress Katie Holmes are ready to demonstrate this right now.

According to Who What Wear, the star picked up the trend for burgundy – a rich, deep shade of red that combines luxury and versatility. Now it is especially relevant in general, but it has received a special embodiment in shoes. Burgundy shoes and boots began to quickly displace universal black pairs from the market. Almost every famous shoe brand has released at least a few of these models.

This season, we've already seen Taylor Swift ditch her signature black lace-up ankle boots for a pair of vintage burgundy Prada boots, which she paired with a loose-fitting rugby shirt worn as a dress.

Another star who has already tried the burgundy shoe trend on herself is Katie Holmes. She wore a pair of Le Monde Beryl ballet flats with a pink button-down shirt and jeans.
