The new Subaru Forester Hybrid for the 2025 model year has been fully declassified as an improved version of the inexpensive Toyota RAV4. The Japanese crossover has received a long-awaited economical modification with a hybrid powertrain.

At the heart of the design is a 2.5-liter proprietary opposed internal combustion engine and an electric motor with a battery. Total output is 194 hp. Combined fuel consumption is 6.7 l/100 km.
Earlier, the 6th generation Subaru Forester hybrid was spotted during tests on American roads. By itself, the Subaru Forester crossover with a 2.5-liter engine offers 180 hp.
