We can see the body of a large Mercedes G-class SUV, which has the "face" of a Suzuki Jimny. It looks really good, largely due to the initial similarity between the two cars. This creates room for speculation about future modifications of the Japanese SUV.

Earlier, it was even reported that Suzuki Jimny would receive an electric version. But recently, the company's president Toshihiro Suzuki commented on this information. The top manager noted that the battery does not fit into the concept of the model and is too heavy a component that would disrupt the important balance of characteristics.

Perhaps they have decided to abandon this modification for now. At the same time, it was expected that the Jimny hybrid could help in the transition period to full electrification until the Suzuki Jimny EV goes on sale. But even in this case, Toshihiro Suzuki made it clear that this option is excluded.
