Shakhtar refused to sell the player to an Italian club for €10 million, blocking all offers
Shakhtar Donetsk's Georgian international Irakli Azarov will not leave the club this summer during the transfer window, Geo Team reports. According to media reports, the 22-year-old's representatives and the Orange and Blacks' management have agreed to block all offers.
Geo Team clarifies that Shakhtar has already turned down two potential buyers this summer: Celtic with its €5 million offer and an unnamed Italian club that wanted to buy the Georgian for €10 million.
Azarov won the Georgian and Serbian championships 4 times. He was also recognized as the Defender of the Year and the Best Young Player of the EroVnuli League in 2021.
Irakliy has been playing for Shakhtar since August last year. Since then, he has played 32 matches in all competitions, making 4 assists.
